Empanelment
Every flat owner in the society wants to change the interior of their respective flat with the state-of-the-art interiors. By doing this they invariably make changes in their flat by removing internal walls, making extension of the flower bed area or balcony, extending kitchen dry area, changes in the bathroom, etc. However, since the flat owner and their interior decorator lack structural knowledge, they’re unaware of the impact on the structure due to internal changes. There have been lot of instances in the past where the building has collapased due to internal changes; one such example is Siddhi Sai building at Ghatkopar which collapased in July 2017 due to internal changes.
To avoid such instances BMC has made it mandatory for every flat owner of the society who wants to make interior alterations must appoint structural consultant to oversee the changes and provide a stability certificate at the end of the work. We, at Stuct Care Consulting Engineers Pvt. Ltd., offer such services and provide completion certificates at the end of the work relieving society office bearers and the flat owner of the risk and tension.
The scope of our consultation includes:
- 1. Checking and approval of the proposed internal changes in the flats and suggest changes if any.
- 2. 3-4 site visits to check the progress and conformity of the plan.
- 3. Issuance of the certificate.
